The developer shared the wallet address where some of the stolen bitcoins were sent, but did not disclose the total amount stolen. The address shows four transactions totaling 216.93 BTC, worth $3.6 million at current prices. unclear how Locke said he had "no idea how" hackers gained access to his key, although some in the crypto community pointed to a possible connection to a previous Twitter post from Locke that indicated that its server had been compromised by malware/backdoors on the system.

Binance is monitoring the situation

The incident also caught the attention of Binance CEO Changpeng (CZ), who immediately offered Locke his support. "Sorry to see you lose so much, I informed our security team to monitor. If the hacker is discovered, we will freeze his account," Zhang said. "If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know," CZ continued. "We often deal with these issues and have relationships with law enforcement (LE) around the world."
